• The Office of Early Childhood is honored to provide an open-source curriculum for four-year-old preschool classrooms (public, private, childcare, home care, Head Start).  MS Beginnings: Pre-K curriculum is intended to support any preschool teacher in providing a rich, play-based, intentional developmentally appropriate instructions.  When implemented with fidelity, the MS Beginnings: Pre-K builds social-emotional, executive function, language, literacy, math, and vocabulary skills.

    MS Beginnings: Pre-K meets the requirements of the Early Learning Guidelines:

    • Aligned to Early Learning Standards
    • Comprehensive to cover all domains
    • Emphasis on early childhood literacy
